I absolutely HATE Kay Jewelers with a passion. My fiance and I went into Kay's to buy an engagement ring. They asked us if we had a price budget and we said we did not because we wanted a nice high quality ring. The lady showed us some rings and we decided on one. I took it home and put it on and I instantly noticed that the ring had SEVERAL black spots all through it. I wouldn't have been so upsetif it wasn't a $2,600 ring. I took the ring back and a new employee helped us. Shortly after talking with her, she informed me that the first person to show us rings actually only showed us default rings! Why would a employee show customers the lowest quality rings they have when we clearly said "we have no price budget". After talking to the second lady, she showed us the LEO diamond engagement rings and we ended up getting one. We spent an extra $400, a grand total of $3,000 to get what they said was a "better" ring that would have no defaults of black spots visible to the naked eye. Two weeks later I notice the same black spots throughout my new ring. I instantly go back to the store and explain the situation and ask them if there is anything they can do. The MANAGER quote on quote told me that "You should be happy with what you have. I have really good eye sight and I can barley see it. You couldn't afford a perfect ring". I have never in my life experienced such terrible service like I did at KAY's. I will never buy another item from them ever ever again. I have no idea how they are still in business.
