I purchased an e-book from a website called drive4cash.com. Jim, the owner, was kind enough to drop the price from $24.99 to $14.99. (gee... And I wonder why)
After realizing that I had a "30-day no questions asked money back guarantee, " I decided to take the plunge. While the e-book had some interesting information regarding the courier business, I decided for several reasons, that the venture was not for me. I purchased the e-book on 5-11-09. After requesting a refund from Jim later on that day, my message went unanswered. After sending a message to info@drive4cash regarding a refund, they sent me an automated response, stating to read the faqs page, which I did before I even purchased the e-book.in addition, the faqs page also had information regarding Jim's refund policy. (DUH!)
Here is my (2nd) request to Jim, asking for a refund...

Dear James...
Earlier, I sent you an e-mail, stating I was not interested in the courier program. I requested a refund per your 30-day satisfaction guarantee.in addition, I have sent ANOTHER request to info@drive4cash, asking for a refund. On several occasions, other than asking for my refund, I am hit with an auto responder response, totally unrelated to the questions/requests I had to begin with. Here is the total cut/pasted receipt of my transaction. Please be aware, that I am well within the guidelines of your 30-day money back guarantee...

After several rounds of trying to get an "unautomated response" of something resembling customer service at Drive4cash, I e-mailed Jim (again) a day later. Low and behold, Jim DID respond this time. Here was Jim's response to my refund. (and this was in his "subject line" of the e-mail he sent to me)
It's like a bridge over troubled waters, Greg
Hi Greg it's Jim from Drive4Cash here to offer you some good news for a change.
The tragic state of the economy is all you hear about these days.
You read about it in the paper. It's plastered all over the news.
I don't believe many of us have ever seen an economic meltdown like this before.
Hard times have crashed retirement and pension plans like a tidal wave on a cardboard house. And with the price of practically everything skyrocketing, it's hard to say if we'll ever recover all that's been lost.
But one thing is for sure. Life goes on. And even if you've been negatively affected by what's going on around you right now... If you've lost your job, if you've had a turn of bad luck, or if you're just sick and tired of trying and trying to get ahead... There's a way to build a bridge over these troubled economic waters.

Here's Insider Tip # 2
*
You may be thinking with the price of gasoline the way it is now, you'd burn up all your profits driving each day. I can understand why you might assume that, but let me assure you that's not the case at all.
You see courier customers are charged a fuel surcharge when gas prices increase. 100% of that money is passed directly to you to help with gas costs. The surcharge percentage is on top of the base rate for the delivery, and can range from 4% to as high as 15%, depending on the fuel costs.
Of course you will incur some expenses. This is a business after all.
The good news is the rising price of gasoline won't stop you from finally being your own boss. Imagine how good that would feel!
And it can happen you know, starting today.
With Drive4Cash you'll get detailed answers and advice on how to get started in the courier industry. As a matter of fact you can have instant access to all the tricks of the trade so you'll get started on the fast track to success.

I ain't playin' games with this clown anymore! I know Jim's responded to another individual here before, so I'm giving him (24) hours from my post here at "The complaint, " to respond to my refund inquiry. From here, it's off to the Attorney General's office in Arizona, and then to the BBB!
Regards!
