I like many other honest people have been screwed. Apex Technology Consultants screwed me and others. This company that is suppose to be based in Tennesse. 475 metroplex dr, nashville, ten 37211, but it's just a National Scam.
There was an ad in the Chicago Tribune about a great job for internet consultants with no experience needed and pay $20.00. I went to an interview where 30 people set for at least an hour or more and listen to a man talk fast and about nothing. He made it sound good. ITS NOT.
Apex Technology Consultants, claims to hire people through independent contract. If hired you have to pay them $400 dollars for equipment. They claim they don't pay your taxes or provide insurance that's how they can pay so well.
We were told that the company started in Nashville, TN a few years ago and also has an office in Atlanta. The con-artist who called hisself the district manager, claimed that the office in schaumberg, il was being built, and this is why the interview and trainging will be in a holiday inn. The office was suppose to open in April it's April and no office.
The self proclamined district manager, also said we would be professionally trained. The training consisted of him talking for 10 hours about himself and the lies of the company that him and his partners came up with, and 20 mintues on the job.
Apex, also makes you sign a contract that they had printed up from somewhere like kinkos. Dont sign it.
The job in detail require for us to sale products such as MSN TV (WEBTV) and ICEBOX. (security systems, home entertainment all in one). Except these companies have no knowlege of APEX or them selling there products.
You can buy equipment for MSNTV at circut city or best buy for under 100 dollars, but APEX TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANTS are selling it for $149 dollars plus shipping and handling which brings the total to over $200 dollars
The RIP-OFF ARTIST said that we would get paid every week no matter if we sold or not. After the second night he explained to us that We have to sell in order to get paid if we dont sell we only got paid at the end of the month, providing that we finish 80 consultantions, and they had different rules and if you broke them you did not get paid
They wanted you to email them twice a week, but they did not have an active email address, they wanted you to attend meeting every monday, but would change the time and act like it's always been that time. You had to have a meeting with one of them after every ten consultations you did and could not continue but they where always busy for 3-5 days in advance.
They made it hard to get the 80 within the time frame
We where suppose to get 20 friends or family to practice our presentation on. Then go out and sell the products, within 15-30 mile radius by referal only. What the scam artist didnt mention is that the referals had to come from the 20 people you practice on.
I really got suspious when at the first meeting for trainging, they clamied we had to leave the hotel, because the management there claimed someone had stole a car in the parking lot, and was blaming us.
After going to the second hotel I started to do some research myself. Apex Technology Consultants does not have a website for 1, the MAIN OFFICE number no one answers when you call, in TN. The number thats on the card for the main office is NOT LISTED under Apex Technology Consultants but under a company by the name of S&S CORP.
APEX is a widley used name from cleaning companies to law firms, which makes it hard to sift through all those pages that pop up when you type it in. S&S CORP is also a widely spread name, there was over 400 pages of S&S when i looked it up on YAHOO.com This was well thought out by these con artist but not well enough.
When I looked up the address for the main office, It was registed to several diffrent companies. The suite that the office was suppose to be in was rented by Aegis Security. There was no APEX found in that building. After digging deeper, the same suite that APEX was suppose to be in several different companies were in the same suite, and had the same phone #.
I have reported them to the FBI, and also I am reporting them to the Attorney Generals office. If you know of any one that is working for them let them know. If you know anyone who has bought goods from them let them know, these people are well organized and have planned this scam out, IT IS MISLEADING AND A COMPLETE SCAM. DONT TRUST APEX TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANTS
I lost my money to them, but I will get it back, but the most important things is that I stop them from taking anyone else's money. Please be careful.
