I was also lured in by Freedom Resource with promises of a $2,500 credit limit and a coupon package of $500.
Sounded like a good deal until I sent them a check for $221 and waited for months, figuring these things take some time, paperwork and so forth. I recently became curious as to what happened to my hard earned money so I looked up and called the number given to me by my operator, Doni Smith (a fake name i assume).
I reached a phone recording from a private residence wishing me a "wonderful day". Sheeeesh! That's when I decided to type in Freedom Resource in my search engine and I found this report page.
I was also given several tracking, routing, and confirmation numbers "for my convenience" I imagine. They even went as far as to have a "supervisor" get on the phone to confirm that I'm a sucker and not nearly as clever as I thought I was.
I hope these people are found and beaten until they realize they don't need to be ripping off fellow americans, and then beaten some more just based on principle. I would accept a refund if these fly-by-night scam artists were apprehended, but I'll be fine knowing that everything they have because of my money will turn out badly for them because their funds were ill-gotten.
