My graduate work (well, 1/2 an MBA before I withdrew) was with Ellis University. My first complaint is for the flagrant and blatant ineptitude of the advisors I was told to trust. They seemingly hired somebody and slapped the name advisor onto them and allow these inept people to misinform prospective students. I feel slighted and extremely unsatisfied with my education here. Courses are VERY easy. Let me put it this way: I had never taken a business course or a graduate level course before starting my MBA at Ellis and I have a 4.0 GPA... C'mon!!!
I actually earned a 100% in one of my class. That means that I didn't do a single thing incorrectly the whole class??? JOKE. Look elsewhere. Besides, this new Ellis University school doesn't have financial aid and won't for quite a while if EVER from what I'm told. The school's accreditation status is in jeopardy still! This has been ongoing for months now. They took it off the website even where it used to be, but you can find plenty of dialogue on it in the school's virtual campus blogs.
It is still on the HLC (Higher Learning Commission) website. Look it up. It's not a good sign regardless of what the advisor on the other end of that phone says... Find an on line school with firm roots other than Ellis just to be safe. What happens if they close? Where will your credits go? What about your program? Have fun transferring out all or most of your credits into another school. I hope you read this and reconsider your choice.
