I had been renting the same storage space for over 5 years. Since that time my rates have gone up an average of $10.00 every 8 months. No changes in the physical security makeup of the facility have been made, nor measures added to protect personal property. Last month my boat was vandelized and the radio, amp, cd changer and speakers were taken along with some fishing equipment. When notifying the management on site about the theft nothing was done until I asked the clerk to notify the district manager. I later contacted their public relations department about how long I had been a customer and nothing like this had ever happen until recently following personnel changes at the location. I also stated that if rates were going to continue to go up that at least video cameras should be placed throught out the facility. Nothing has been done and the company appears not to be concerned. I guess their position is if you don't like it, find another storage facility. I have recommended Public Storage in the pass but will no longer consider them as a choice when considering storage.
