This so called collection agency called my father and said there was a warrant out for my arrest for a Parking Ticket from 2002. They told him the only way I would not be arrested would be for him to pay my debt over the phone by a check the fine was $55 plus a $5.95 check processing fee.
He told them he would not pay over the phone and asked for their name and address. I have never even heard of this ticket until today and do not remember receiving a ticket at all in 2002.
This company seems to be violating several consumer credit laws number one by disclosing or discussing any personal financial matters with someone other that the debtor. Number two by lying and stating there is a warrant for someones arrest for a "parking violation".
