I left FMU in July. I started finding out all these seedy things about this school, I didn't realize all the lies I was being fed when I signed up.
I was told that they were nationally accredited, which doesn't mean much. I was told that they were in good standing with other schools in the area so even though all my credits would transer, just like any other school I shouldn't have any trouble going to a bigger university. NOT THE CASE AT ALL!!! No school will except a single one of my credits.
I was told that I was paying $300 per class, turns out it was per credit hour. I filed a complaint with BBB, even in their response they couldn't get that straight.
I was lead to believe that I was going to have only one Stanford loan taken out in my name, they ended up taken one out every semester. A total of $7,000 dollars.
When it came to my other loans I had to take a new one out every 12 weeks, every time I would ask how much it was for and I'd get the run around, I wanted to know how much in all I was borrowing, they wouldn't ever tell me.
The classes were terrible. Teachers would hand out A's like candy in a kindergarten class. Often classes were just one big joke. I would work hard on my own trying to learn something and people that were just fooling around were receiving A's as well. It was harder to fail a class that it was to pass with an A.
I know owe 18 grand in Sallie Mae and Standford loans. I've gotten nothing out of this school or the classes.
