I enrolled in the University of Phoenix in Sept. Of 2008. I thought tuition was a little high, for only two classes every nine weeks. I did not pass one of my classes, and they told me that if I didn't pay out of my pocket to retake this class, the would drop me out of school and hold my student loan for 29 days and the return it. I asked them to return my student loan immediately, and send me the forms to do so.
I have never heard of anything like this before. They not only wasted my time for the last several months, but also my student loan They offered no solution for me to take this class again. I think the government needs to look into this. You do not pass one class, and they throw you out of school. What a rip off. They would also not return my phone calls, and my emails for a day. I can't believe that they are allowed to get away with this. They charge over a thousand dollars for one class for nine weeks, but they cannot find a way to keep someone in school when they do not pass a class.
