I'm in debt over $29,000 because of the deceptive practices of Florida Metropolitan university and Sallie Mae student loans. I enrolled in the school in March 1998 and attended the school until May.
I was not allowed to recieve my degree as I was in my last term of college and failed (1) one of my classes that I had to repeat among several on financial aid. This class I had to repeat was one of the classes required for my degree.
I was told that in order to continue my education on financial iad, I would need to take additional classes that I did not need to recieve my degree. I relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and tried to continue my education only to find out that FMU was not an accreited university and none of my credits even mattered.
I wasted (2) two years of education for nothing.
I was mislead by the represenatives in the school and they kept calling me into the office to sign for more student loans as I was going to school.
I had questioned this procedure and I was told that my transcripts did not go through. I have been doing my research on this and I have found out that there are other's that have basically experienced the same thing.
