Scam alert trash mouth employees trying to scare consumers

I received a letter form S.E.F. Publishers stating that I owed a fee from a cancelation. I did not recognize the company, but read on that I owed the fee of $138.00 for a cancelation fee and that if I did not pay by 12/28/07 they were going to charge me additional court cost plus additional fees. I did not know what this was for so I called Judy Nye at 941-301-6862. I heard a message that said I can't answer so call back in 5 minutes or hang on. I was thinking how rude this was, when appartently she had me on the line while she was talking to someone else. She said "are you calling about the letter that I sent to you" and I said "yes" thinking that she was talking to me, and she said "it's about a cancelation fee that you owe us" and I said " I don't know what it's for" and then she yelled "Well I'll just hang up on you Mrs. Niles, if you don't quit yelling at me" and that was when I figured out she was talking to someone else and my line went dead.

I then called back and she answered and went throught the same thing with the same questions and answers. She told me that I had been 4 days late in canceling a subscription in July a year and a half ago. I told her that I didn't think so, and she started yelling at me and cursing and saying that there was a court date in my name for January. I told her to go right ahead as I had never received anything from her company telling me that I owed them money or that I had canceled late, which I had not.

So then I called back to the 888-239-5501 number and asked for a manger and they gave the call to Juy Nye again and I asked to not speak to her, but to her boss or the owner and she said that she was all of those, and that she had my credit card number and that I should have never given it to her last year. I am in the process right now of trying to find out which card number I charge the orginal transation a year and half ago.

I told her that I had a copy of her letter and that it was a federal offense to mail such scams to people. Go to their web site and see what a friendly company they seem to be. I can only find a listing for Bradenton. Stop these people from ripping off any other unsuspection people.
