Back in February I received a call from a man claiming to be a representative of S.E.F. Publishers (Marketing Co.) telling me that I won a $1000 online shopping spree. (which I never received and when I did, that was a scam too, because you had to pay OUTRAGEOUS shipping & handling it was NOT free!) and all I had to do was buy a magazine for 15 monthly installments of 33$ and I would receive the Rolling Stone Mag for 5 years this was a lie too I haven't seen one in a long time. I did so, thinking I was getting some great deal, within the 1st few days of speaking to this guy I realized that they were debiting my bank account over and over again, I made several attempts to contact them to cancel, I even wrote them a letter explaining that what they said and what I was supposed to be getting weren't even in the same ball field. They told me that I "could not" cancel and if I did that I would be sent directly to a collection agency and possibly be taken to court. I refused to give them any more information after the 4th attempt to cancel and told them that I would not be making anymore payments and that I did not wish to deal with them anymore, I was sent many threatening letters, and finally "poof" it all stopped, little did I know 2 years later (October 27) I now have a letter in front of me which is very threatening from some woman named Judy Nye (941) 301-6862 or (941) 301-6498, I called the 1st number and she rudely answered "HELLO", I asked if she was Judy, to which she replied "yes", I proceeded to tell her that I was inquiring about the threatening letter she sent me in the mail, that basically stated that since they have been unsuccessful in any response from me that my fees are multiplying and that this account would be going to court at the end of November with their legal team, and about paying them $289.99 right now or else this will go to court and I will be facing $300 in court fees, she then replied rudely "call me back when your in a better mood" and hung up on me, I called back, she didn't answer but I left her a message telling her that I wanted the name of her supervisor and that she shouldnt be so rude and ugly when she is the one who sent this to me. I have searched and searched and I cannot find a valid phone number for this company, and I am at my wits end with these people, if anyone can help me or knows something please respond!!! Stay away from these scammers.
