I live in NC and went to VA to process loan. Title loans are illegal in NC. Since then, I've found out how crooked and slimy these companies are. Do I have any protection from the law? They are less than 30 minutes over the state line from NC. Probably so that NC residents could have access to obtaining a loan and the company could get around the NC statute. Any help? What happens if I get a duplicate copy of my title and sell it? Help!!!
