From the get go DishNetwork has misrepresented their service to me. I was told that the service would be HiDef and that a TIVO style recorder would be provided. Since the initial hook-up in November I have had neither the HD nor the TIVO. I was told thru advertisements on Air and in Print that I would recieve additional TV hook-ups in up to 4 rooms. OOOOPPPPPS that too was lie. 1 TV and a sloppy install at that.
After nearly 16 mos of not recieving what I was promised originally, I decided to UP GRADE, according to the phone bank person the only way I could get what I wanted. They charged my credit card $99 to install a new HD reciever on 3/13. Did I get a new reciever and install? NOPE!!! Did I get a refund? Once again NOPE!!! Did I cancel the service you bet your ass. Around 3/28 when I had not recieved either a new install or reciever I responded to a call from them that I did not wish to continue their service or accept their new equipment, which I did not get, and that at the end of the current billing period ALL TIES WITH THEIR COMPANY WOULD BE SEVERED.
It was no surprise when the service was DC'ed on 4/06. However it was a surprise when I was billed for April and May, and an evern greater surprise when I found that there was a $200 charge on my credit card as of yesterday, 7/16, which I fer damn sure did not authorize.
I have called no less than 12 times since Apr, TALKED TO AT LEAST 20 DIFFERENT PEOPLE, recieved 4 promises of refunds, but the latest call this A.M. THEY CANNOT FIND AN ACCOUNT FOR ME!!! Needless to say I find it exceptionally ridiulous that a company can find my credit card which was authorized for a one time charge in March, and charge me $200 in July on a service I haven't had since April and not be able to find out why they charged me. Oh yeah, they want I should give them the card number so they can verify that it was them that made the charge. I refused and they hung up on me.
