In 2006 I was contacted by West Asset Management to pay a debt that I owed to CheckSmart. I agreed to a debt settlement payment of $305.00 in which I sat on the telephone for a half hour supposedly being recorded for accuracy and also received a final confirmation that the debt had been paid. Well, June I received a letter from Geral E. Moore attorney requesting $439.00 for the original creditor CheckSmart. I call the attorneys office only to be told that I could do another debt settlement of P or there was nothing they could do. I contacted West Asset Management only to be told that they have NEVER spoke with me before and that there has never been any payments made. What can I do???
