On 10/18/06 i received a solicitation call from a male who stated his name as being dennis mcintosh. He was all pumped up waiting on the line for over 5-7 minutes while i unloaded my car and brought my cat inside. He agreed to sell my florida timeshare in less thatn 90 days for no less than $15,500.00 in my pocket with his company paying all fees, transfer and closings anything that would be invollved in closing the deal within 90 days.
He hurriedly referred me me to the bbb to show that they had no complaints against them, but stated they didn't belong to the bbb becasue they didn't need to pay them to pad their records becasue they were honest and upfront etc. Dennis had nothing but negative remarks about all of the other re-sale company which turns out to be not quite as sickening as his company is.
Once he thought he had me hook, line and sinker he transferred me to a so-cller corfirmation dept., where a female who stated her name as being nicole forman, she immediately started changing what had been pitched to me by dennis stating that they had to tell all customers that the $882.00 was a one-time non-refundable fee. I immediately corrected her and told her that the entire conversation should be recorded becasue i had no intentions of giving anyone $882.00 on those conditions, she make a remark to the effect that the recorder only recorded portions of the conversations.
I told her that once i got the contract i would be in a better position to sign or not to sign my name. I thought about the conversation for two days and decided i'd bettter call to cancel even before the contract got to me they had immediaely charged my credit card and e-mailed me a piece of paper purporting to be my receipt. On saturday morning at 5:30 & 5:33 A.M. I made two calls to cancel the deal, the recorder said they only worked monday through friday.
I followed up with a call to ny credit card company at 6:05 A.M. Saturday 10/21/06. At 11:40 A.M. Saturday, i received a hostile erratic call from a female who said her name was melissa waters stating that i had upset her staff by calling to cancel a contract and they had the recording where i had agreed to the deal.
I politely told her that i had signed no documents had no intentions of signing any and i was not interested. At this point a male came on with a threatening tone of voice telling me that i would not get a refund because he had recorded the sale and it was binding and he was sre the credit card company would honor it, i hung up on him. On monday 10/23 i got the so-called contract taht doesn't even list my property much less contain any of the gurantees that dennis had made it was a generic contract used by all the swindlers trying to rip us off for our money.
These are some sick cut-throat swindlers trying to make a fast buck with lies and false promises because there are some credit card companies who will uphold them. This will be another complaint. Everyone be aware of ibd marketing, roark vacations in branson, mo also operating in kalamazoo mi, kymbo tours in ontario canada, also operating in part of mi and resort equity marketing operating in florida. You can find a two page bbb report on resort equity marketing, also note that this ibd marketing has two different florida addresses.
I want his company to be shut down becasue they try to rip another har-working consumer off promising the moonand can't even deliver cheese. I wan then n my "do not call" list and leave me alone forever because i owe them nothing, want nothing to do with them and will continue to advertise what they have attempted to do t me in less than 72 hours. Sure hope this report helps the next person who reads this.
