Our home was destroyed by our neighbor, who sealed off two ditches or right of ways, which by law is illegal to do. That of which caused severe flooding. Lawyers are a tricky buch of crooks, who band togather in a brotherhood for the sake of their jobs. Meaning for the love of money and their jobs.
An attorney once told me, that he could not take a case because he liked his job enough, that he didn't want to move his family anywhere else in the US. I asked him why, he said to be honest, you dont go up agains another attorney in this state who has more experience. Thats just the way it is. Because if you do and when, you lost. I asked what that meant. He said here in oregon and I'm sure elsewhere in the U.S.
If I won a case to a more experienced attorney, I would have a hard very time supporting my family. Then he said I like my job and intend to stay in Oregon. I told this guy, that this was a bunch of bull, what ever happen to justice. He commented "where". I didnt believe him until, the friday afternoon on the last day of court.
We hired an attorney who told me and my wife that he would not have taken this case, if he was going to lose. He did'nt, well there is more to this. This attorney just feed us to the dogs.
Back in our neighbor caused severe damage w/black mold build up. We were not told by our attorney that he did not intend to show our evidence to the jury, the only proof they needed to award us the cost of damages.
I made a video of the water build up, that caused the damage to our home, to the sum of over $100.00 in damages. Our attorney told me he made a judgement call. That costed us even more, his bill the oposing side and the experts, the the defendants attorneys tried to buy off, because they knew they didnt have a case, well it turns out that the defendants attorney and ours, had decided that the video I had taken, would be stricken as evidence which proved the cause of damage, with out our consent. As it was put on record, because they felt it was too painful for the oposing attorneys client. WHAT?
Judge granted that, now experts testified, even the city of tangent was behind us all the way, when they requested that he open those drains, two years later and 7 more floods, did his mother come out and do it, because the city was going too.
They lied in court, because on the day, they claim his mother was not the one who opened the ditch, it was a contractor who did, when in fact it was his mother. I called and spoke to our attorney on the day, this mans mother came with a back hoe and was I was telling my attorney, that this was being done and by who.
Thats not all, the neighbor admitted he sealed the ditches, or County Inspector came in as a witness and testified that he saw the water going up to the road, which was higher than our home and that water was under our home. He testifeid along with the engineers that proved this man was the cause of the damage to our home. Thats when on the friday, the last day of court, our attorney walked into the court house, looking really sad, and it didnt dawn on me, what the attorney had told me about the brotherhood, did it finally click, He turned on us, I say in the courthouse all day, and the jury came out, and said it.
The defendant was not liable for anything. I ripped this attorney a new ass. I told him he had no right, not allowing that jury to see the evidence, he said I made a judgement call.
I wanted to beat him to a pulp. I asked him why he didn't show the photos that were taken by the newspaper, that showed the damage the jury wanted to see, or why he didnt get a supena, requesting another video tape, that was taken by a t.V. Station while they were filimg next door, which showed that I was pumping water over my neighbors drive way and out from under the house, that the jury wanted to see for them selfs. The only proof we had and the refused to show it.
Now I told him he was to file an appeal, and his answer was, its over. He did not intend to file an appeal. This was July 16.
He told my wife, he feared for his family, because I was upset, well you know what. This ass of a coward, didnt lose his home, and when he thought he was going to get any money from this, well if I dont win. I surely hope you people didnt think you would. I am now looking for an attorney, who is willing to finish this matter. Because our attorney is a damn coward and a back stabbing yellow belly skunk, with no backbone. He says, ohh come on you guy's, you know I love ya like family. Well if he was any part of my family, shoe's in the form of concrete would be the only thing that comes to mind. I'm lucky I'm too old.
