Why does each State even have a Bar Association? They claim it is to help those who have problems with attoneys. What a FARSE! If an attorney lies, cheats, Breaches your Attorney Client Confidentiality, blackmails you, throws your case, deliberately with holds crucial evidence or even forgets to inform you of your court date does it matter when you report him or her to the Bar Association? NO of Course NOT because they don't care. ASS -ociation they got the first part of that word right because they are Asses.
I have reported 3 attorneys in my life for serious violations and each time the Bar Association has done a cover up. Lets see, the first time was when we had a court date because my daughter was seriously injured in an accident and the attorney called and said the date had been post poned. Fine; but whey in the HELL didn't he call me, or write me or talk to me when it was reschedualed and tell me the new court date? Maybe because he forgot or was lazy or who knows what, but regardless he did not inform ME.
Instead when I didn't show up for the court date because I was never told did he take responsibility? NO he projected and said I should have kept trying to call him. I called that assinine attorney at least twice a month and always got his secretary because he was always out of the office. I reported him to the Bar association and they sent back a letter saying: "We understand why you are upset BUT we don't hold him responosible"
If he wasn't responsibel who Is? I appealed it for over a year and still they did nothing. Then one day I ran into the attorney of the opposing side and he told me he was surprised we didn't show up that they were going to make an offer of settlement. I told him because we were not informed by our attorney. He apologised but by then it was over and done and had been thrown out of court. However I was left with thousands of dollars of medical bill for my young daughter that I had to pay off over the years.
The Bar Association did nothing.
Now I turn in an attorney for Breaching our Client Attorney confidentiality, for witholding cruicial evidence that the opposing side didnt want entered and proved he never even asked for the documentation even after I was billed for almost 2,000 for that evidence to be documented and again The Oregon State Bar Association just sweeps it under the rug.
I am not the first person to have thier confidential information breached, This guy has Diarrhea of the mouth and loves to hear himself talk, but does the Bar association care? NO.in the lawyers response to my alligations he lied and lied and lied and I was able to take each and everyone of those lies and show with documented proof that they were lies and still the Bar Association didn't want to discipline him. They wanted to cover it up and have it go away.
What the Oregon Bar Association does is by ignoring these violations is to say: It is okay to violate the confidentiality of your clients, it is okay to lie, it is okay to withold evidence and sell out to your oponent, it is okay to be corrupt and dishonest; Go ahead and do what ever you want illegally and we will stand behind you, support you and look the other way. You have nothing to fear.
Our Lady of Justice? NO it is our lady of Corruption; she has scales but they don't balance and ever wonder why she wears a Blind Fold? Becauses she is Blind to the corruption of justice system.

So why is the Oregon State Bar Association even in existance? It is just a front - a Pretense becasue they don't care who an attorney scews over.
Ever hear the saying Honor among Theives Conspiracy among Lawyers? Guess it still shows they will do what ever it takes to keep victims from receiving justice when it involves a crooked or corrupt attorney after all Guess they can't get Membership fee's from an attorney if he is disbarred so they would rather cover up for the attorney rather than admit Corruption exists within that organization.
It makes me sick - yes there are a few, very few attorneys who are legit but even these attorneys are afraid to make waves and be Ostracized by their fellow corrupt attorneys. No one has the courage to stand up to corruption and the Bar Association of Oregon encourages Corruption. After all even if an attorney does win a case who walks away with most of the settlement? It sure isn't the Victim who suffers physically, it is the Attorney who spends a few hours of his or her time on a case and yet walks away with at least 50 % and the other 50% the victim has to pay court costs, medical, lawyers 25 cents a page to copy fee's and anything else they can think of to charge you for.

By the Oregon Bar Association or any other States Bar Association constantly doing cover ups for those corrupt dishonest attorneys they are Violating the Civil Rights of those who are made victims all over again because they are not allowed to get justice.
