Ryan And Tiffany Don't give them your credit card information. They are a RIPOFF!

On Saturday, July 29, I recieved a phone call from United Marketing Asssociation, so they said. The man I spoke with on the phone introduced himself as Ryan.

The first words out of Ryan's mouth was congradulations you have been put into our $25,000 drawing happening May 31. Okay, I should have known something then due to the fact that's ten months from now.

Then he went on talking about how I could recieve six magazines of my choice for just $3.99 a week, paying $62.40 a month starting in September for sixteen months. I then said okay I will try it but are you sure my payments won't start until September?

He then reassured me that they would, going on asking me for my credit card information. I was really hesitant about it at first because I never give that information out. But I did, now wishing I hadn't.

So he went on and on about the magazines and how good of a customer I was being. He also acted as if he was so interested in my personal life by asking what I did for a living, if I had kids, etc..

After all that he informed me that for signing up with them I would recieve a free diamond watch, giving me the choice of a ladies or gentlemans watch. I gave him my choice of course and he then congradulated me once again and told me to hold on the line while he got his supervisor on the phone.

That's when someone by the name of Tiffany got on the phone. She started out by saying those same words of congratulations and so on trying to spark up another conversation.By this time I started feeling iffy about the whole thing and didn't care to talk anymore.

She then asked me if I would stay on the line while she recorded my order and confirm my information I had given Ryan for authorization of my credit card. This process insisted on a recording of saying yes to the questoins being asked.

She stated that they did this so that everything I said would be recorded and if there were any concerns about my order they could reflect back to this recording. Now I know why. They now had me saying that I agree to the terms with UMA on tape.

She then went on saying that at anytime I could call and cancel my order or change it at without any problems, giving me there phone number and address in Las Vegas, Nevada, which turned out to be non existing.

She also gave me a order number and told me that she would throw in a $25.00 Wal-Mart gift card for my time, assuring me that even if I called and cancelled my order it was mine to keep. On Sunday, July 30 I arrived home and that call was the first thing on my mind. So I got on my computer and entered their company name and the first thing I saw at the top of my computer screen was United Marketing association ripoff/usacomplaints.com.

At that time my suspicions were confirmed but it was already to late. I then accessed my account online to find that $62.40 had been drafted from my checking account the same day I placed my order with them, when I was told that no monies would be taken from my account until September if the funds were there.

I was really upset because the whole time I was on the phone with them they had something to lie about and I didn't find out in good enough time. So now I am out of $62.40 that I didn't have at the time for them to be taking out of my account. I am a mother of four and I am only 26 years old and school is right around the corner.

I now have to get on the phone in the morning and cancel my bank card so that they can't scam me again. I was really upset with myself because I should've known better. But once again it's too late for that all I can do now is hope that no one else gets done the same way I did.

Protect yourself, don't give out any of your personal information over the phone especially your credit card number. Also, when you recieve calls from places stating that you have won something and you have no idea where they got your number or what they are talking about, just let them you know that you are not interested an hang up the phone.

I hope the state will soon be able to pick up on fraudulant people like that soon, so that they cannot keep getting away with this. All I can do now is count my $62.40 as a loss and learn from a big mistake that I made that I am sure will never happen again.
