On Monday, February 14, I recieved a phone call from a company called United Marketing Association. The first thing they said to me was I was in the drawing for some kind of trip and congradulations. I am only 18 years old and I have never dealt with this type of thing before so I need some help with this. The man then said that I would be included in some kind of magazine subscription for $4 a week. I was so stupid I gave him my card number. Then he transferred me to his supervisor. This man said his name was Josh Lindal and I tried to cancel this subscription because I knew it was a mistake. He harassed me for a half an hour! He then proceeded to add 2 more magazines for "free", plus the diamond watch. I am so scared because I dont have a lot of money I dont make very much.
So then he went from $62 something to $39.93 a month and I tried to cancel once again. He harassed me for another 10 minutes. Then he transferred me to HIS superviser and she wouldnt let me cancel so I thought I would do it, have them send me the info and try to cancel it that way, or I dont know... The police? I really dont know what to do I was so confused and I was forced into something I didnt want to do. Please help me.
