Complaint / Review
Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage
Ripoff

I got injured on the job on Feb. I haven't made a house payment since May. The house will be going on forclosure Monday. Well these people have talked to my workmans comp attorney. They know I have money coming in. They have called or family names and everything else, they are the most rudest people I have ever talked to.

Well when I purchased my home in Nov. Of it was brand new. They told me how good the house was and I would never have any problems out of it.
I have black mold all over the outside of the house, I've had the air-conditioner unit outside fixed 5 times already.

They replaced the carpet in the house in some rooms, and nailed it down. I've laid carpet before and I never nailed it to the floor. The floor was supposeed to be plywood, not compressed particle board! The counters were not supposed to be able to scratch. THEY LIED ABOUT THAT!
The air-conditioner unit where the drip pan is below the air filters, have leaked water in there for so long it has rotted the floor. Paint from the ceiling is flaking.
Faucet in master bedroom broke one week after I bought home.

Walls are so thin, they break if you lean on to hard.
Wood strip on walls break real easy. I was suppose to have extended warranties on everything, and instead I have to file it on my insurance! 4 months after I got the home the walls on the inside by the windows started sweating and I got mold around the windows on the inside! Still haven't got the carpet replaced where the air-conditioner duct flooded from the drip pan, and ruined the carpet. Clayton told me I had no flood insurance.
Clayton said I had to replace the carpet myself.
The smoke detectors have not worked since I bought the home.

I have been ripped-off!!! I feel like I'm in that movie the Money Pit. They can have their Money Pit home back!
I just want the money I've given them for the past 3 years. They also called my neighbors, and ask them about my financial situation. Now isn't that a violation of a privacy act? My neighbor is writting a letter in my behalf for a future lawsuit against Clayton/Vanderbilt.
I guess I need a Lawyer though.
