I originally bought my cell phone on Line from Cellular buys and the company I have my cell phone from is Nextel. However Nextel is NOT Responsible for this situation. I was suppose to get 80 dollars back for my rebate from a company Named Rebate Processing Center P.O. Box 52900 Phoenix, Arizona 85072.
I Originally sent in my rebate to early and they sent me a Letter back stating that, so after close examination I realized that I needed to Mark on My Calender the proper date to mail in My rebate along with a copy of the UPS symbol on the bottom of the box of my cell phone.
These REBATES are a JOKE because this company is hoping everyone will forget the day to mail in your rebate, First of they tell you to mail in your rebate No earlier then 180 Days from the date you had your Cell PHONE Activated, and also that it has to be postmarked on that day, then that you have up to 210 days and after that it is Void.
First off I would RECOMMEND TO SEND IT TO THEM CERTIFIED Mail, NO I take that Back, I wouldn't have any Dealings with this company, You Won't get your Money BACK. I sent my rebate into the company On April 25th, Postmarked the correct day, Then there were more stipulations, Do not call the company until 14 Business days has passed. So they are hoping more time will pass so they dont' send you your CHECK.
I waited for 14 Business Day's to Pass and what Happened? I entered in all of my proper information and spoke to someone, A Lady and she told me that they hadn't recieved it yet. Then she told me to wait until the next week to call again, LITTLE by Little they were hoping that the 210 day Deadline was approaching so I couldnt' get my refund.
I called the Next week and still My Name wasn't on Record. I told her How I use to live in Michigan and that I now LIved in Ohio, I told her they could call Nextel and see I still have a rate plan with Nextel, another thing they use against you is they say you still have to have your cell phone in Service.
Once I told the lady I use to live in Michigan she asked me my zip code and I told her, I thought this was the reason why I wasn't receiving my refund, She then told me that she seen my old address in her computer and that they (Rebate Processing Center) In Phoenix, Arizona 85072 had me under Review, I asked her what did that mean? She told me everyone is Under Review.
I then asked her when would I recieve my check? She said that it should Pop Out and when it does I will Know it. I dont' understand what that was suppose to mean? I dont' have anything against Canadians and that's who I have been speaking to during both calls, But Today it is May 30, th 2006 and Exactly Over One month since I mailed my rebate in on April 25th I spoke to another lady and told her about my situation, I told her I mailed my rebate in and how I use to live in Ohio and Now I live in Michigan but I supplied the REbate Processing Center with the Proper Information on my new address.
I told her about the Last Lady telling me that my Rebate was Under Review, I gave her my Old Zip Code and My New Zip code. She told me that since they haven't recieved my mail that I would not be receiving My REFUND BECAUSE it was Past the 210 Day DEADLINE. I told her that I wanted to speak to her Supervisor and she told me that I would Probably get a Voice Mail, and that would call me back.
I left a Voice Mail and NO ONE has called me back. After READING about all of these Horror stories from other People who havn't gotten Their REBATES, I know this is a RIP OFF, I told her I was gonna contact the Better Business Bureau. I told her I was gonna post information ON LINE about their Company and how they are RIPPING US OFF! This company the Rebate Processing Center p.O. Box 52900 Phoenix, AZ. 85072 Is a Ripp OFF, Do NOT BUY ANY MORE CELL PHONES AND EXPECT TO RECIEVE A REBATE.
I am telling Everyone I Know, what these horries are. I think they should be Put in Jail for FRAUD. I am doing everything in my Power to Hire an attorney also to do something to Put these CROOKS out of Business. I work for a living, they should be breaking Rocks in Prison. I also am contacting Channel 7 News in Detroit and letting them Know what a SCAM this TRUELY IS.
