I went to FreeCreditReport.com to get a sample of my credit report for FREE. Well come to find out I apparently signed up for a membership! I found out when there was a charge of $12 to my checking account. Well when I called CIC Triple Advantage (the company that billed me) @ 1-800-787-6864 the guy was completely rude and acted like I was stupid!
Then I clarified what I was billed for; a small credit report from experian that I get to view over and over again for my monthly membership. When I asked the guy why I was charged he said that I signed up for it and that it was clearly marked on the page. Well if anyone goes to the page it is not clearly marked! I told him that I want it canceled now! At first he gave me a hard time saying oh you want people to have the opportunity to steal your idenity? And a bunch of other stupid comments trying to make me out to be the stupid one. I of course still canceled.
I then asked if the amount that I was billed for was for this month? He stated yes and that I could still view it, when I attempted to do so it would not let me! So I believe another annoying call is due for. So just so everyone knows they rip you off!
Thank god I caught it in time before they charged me again. Well when I went to report them to the Better Business Bureau I found out that there have already been 2654 lawsuits against them.
