I recently had a whole paycheck taken for overdrafts because of this company drafting a payment for magazines I had already cancelled. Not only did it get done without my consent, but the bank did not even question my having a bunch of overdraft charges when I never do that, ever. I think we need to pass legislation demanding our banking institutions require a signed card from us to authorize any kind of draft from our account. When asked why they allowed it, they said the company had my credit card information. Okay, if I had your credit card number, could I walk into this bank and take your money that easily? She could not answer that question. Now I have $58 in my account and I just got paid. I feel violated and total disappointed in the system we call banking. IF we all did that to them, how would they feel. A red flag should have been throw up when I charged $4.00 and paid $30 to do it! Get serious, would you purposely overdraft your account for them much over a $4 purchase. Common sense says NOT! I want the get them to put that money back and pay all the fees that were taken out of my account. Can I do that? HELP ME PLEASE!
