Warning! Under any circumstances, if you have a LLC or Corporation, DO NOT PAY the "State Corporate Compliance" letter you receive. It is a Phishing scheme to bilk $125 out of you. This letter will come to you looking very official, as well as looking like it came from the state. There's many stern warnings that you fail to pay you will lose your LLC status, etc. It's a total deception!
I own a corporation for my small business and do all the book keeping. When I received this letter I was skeptical. All it took was a little bit of research on the internet, and I found out very quickly that this was fraud. Also know that they set up shop very close to the state government to seem ligitimate.in fact, this business has set up shop in many different states. When complaints are finally acknowledged, they are then sued by the state government. They then close up shop, and move to another state to start over again. This has recently happened in Texas. Please go to the end opf this letter to read the statement from the Texas Attorney General, as well as information from the BBB. They were thrown out of Florida. I am located in California and they have now started their phishing scheme here. I did not send money in, and I hope this saves many from losing out on $125 to these sewer scum.
