I ordered the Singer Vacuum over the phone on the July 24. The entire purchase process was automated, and it did not give the total amount of the order or the confirmation number at the end of the phone call.
On July 27th, they charged my bank account $353.70, which is about four times of what the bill should have been.
I called the customer service line on July 27th, and they put me on hold for about an hour and hung up on me. I called back, and I was on hold for another 80 minutes when someone finally came on the phone. They told me they charged me for four vacuums instead of one. They said that they will give me a refund, and gave me a confirmation number for the cancellation of the order.
Just like everyone else, I haven't received my refund yet and it has been over a month since I cancelled my order. I saw one complaint where this person got charged the same amount of money ($353.70) and in the same exact situation.
This does not look like a simple mistake. It looks like they do this to everyone to commit fraud. These people from singer are thiefs!!!
I submitted a complaint with Better Business Bureau.
