During our extensive search for legitimate job leads, we are seeing more and more ads like this posted online, in newspapers and even in some of our monthly magazine subscriptions... It is truly ridiculous to acknowledge that this scam is allowed to venture on as it has for several years. Usually the same group of people are involved, however it is hard to identify them because they keep changing their names.
These ruthless individuals will go on to advertise for candidates seeking legitimate Data Entry positions, but ultimately charge a startup fee of between $9.99 and $29.99, which might seem a small price for many of those who are desperately seeking home employment.
Obviously this company, (which is actually NOT a legitimate business corporation) and many others like them will prey upon people who are in desperate need of a job and a quick source of income such as the disabled, senior citizens and single parents, with special emphasis toward targeting women with very little or no education.
They usually post their ads in the help wanted sections on the major job boards, including the Craig's Listings. They will make the job description look as legitimate as possible by implementing certain job titles, job duties, and mentioning certain facts about how great their opportunity is or how much income you can make for only working part time hours.
In reality, they will take your money, send you an email stating how you can also deceive people by creating a job title, post on websites, etc... To the ultimate effect that you too will be able to scam many innocent people desperately seeking legitimate income.
As another poster submitted, and we certainly agree with their statement as follows: "That is NOT a real job and any "so called" company or individual operating in this manner needs to be shut down and investigated by the police IMMEDIATELY!"
Inter Data Management, Inc. Also uses a "PHONY" BBB Reliability Seal on their website. To my present knowledge, this is definitely illegal!
