I have been dealing with Jefferson Capital/aka Compucredit/Fingerhut since 1998. I have not bought anything from this company. I have written them a letter asking what address was the merchandise sent to, my signature, what is was I supposedly bought, when it was mailed out and who signed for it.
All I got back was the account number and my husbands name. Which they spelled wrong. They are ruining my life right now because we are trying to buy an house and they put down we owe them $434.
I don't owe this company nothing. How do I fight them and get it off my report? This company can't provide me with any proof. The account number can belong to anyone. I have written letters and no response. I have tried to call and all I get is attitude.
Jefferson Capital is reporting once and so is Fingerhut Advantage. These are the same account. As of right now I am showing I owe $868.
