Buyer's Union AKA Call One AKA Premier Movie Pass
Fraudulent Billing ripoff

Like all the others, I have been fooled as well. The process has been the same: They called and promised that all I would be charged only $3.95, and in return I would get coupons worth $200.

As soon as I received the packet, I checked my account and was shocked to discover that I have been charged $119.90 $3.95 #3.95. Of course, the 7 days of "free-trial" were non-existent. I immediately called and cancelled and requested a refund. All this happened on 12/20/04. At that point they said they were sending me a "Refund Authorization Form" which I would have to fill out and mail them back.

On 1/25/05 I called again, because I haven't received a form yet. They said they were sending me a second one.
I finally received the form and sent it back to them. Two weeks later I called to see if they received my form. Of course, on 3/21/05 the answer was still negative. At this point I have been calling them daily for the past two weeks, so they said they will contact the Head Department for investigation. What I found very disturbing is that they wouldn't give me any information about this "Head Department", so I was unable to contact them personally.
Today, 3/30/05 I called again and have been told that my form has been received on 3/24/05, and that I should allow them 10-14 business days to process my refund.
I will call on 4/7/05 again, and unfortunately I expect to receive the same answer as Dorothy did.
I will keep you informed with my case.
I am a student and 119.90 is a lot for me to just give up on. So if it takes a daily call to these guys to get my money back, I will certainly do it.

I also found it very interesting that if I called the Call One 800 number and asked for information about Buyer's Union, they said that they can't give out any information. A minute later I called Buyer's Union 800 number, and guess what the same guy answered the phone, and he was the one to admit it! How ridiculous is that?!?!
