My rebate was denied by TCA, claiming it was postmarked after the postmark deadline. I sent in the rebate a day after the purchase of my laptop, 1/17/05. TCA claimed it was postmarked 2/09/05... Almost 1 month later! I knew something wasn't right.
I called TCA and asked for either a copy of the envelope or the original. The rep hung up on me! My fiance also called TCA and spoke with a rude and unhelpful rep who said there's nothing they can do. He asked for a supervisor and she said he is not available and would be in a meeting all day.
We went back to the retailer where we purchased the computer to ask for help. So far, they promised a resolution. We'll have to wait and see. Unless you're getting a manufacturer's rebate, do not purchase anything that comes with a rebate that is processed through a fulfillment center... Specifically TCA.
