I am a Professor of Electronic Engineering at Mansoura University, Egypt. I am also the Director the Communications & Information Technology Center at the same University. I purchased a laptop (Samsung ultra series 5) from computer shop at Mansoura and after about 17 days I found one of the keyboard buttons (v key) is malfunctioning.
When I reported this problem to the shop, they tested the machine and they agree that there is really a problem. I asked them to replace the machine but they refused and insist that it should go through the normal maintenance routine. Off-course I refused such solution. I am sure that this is not the right policy of a great firm like Samsung.
It is not accepted that a new machine after 15 to 20 days is going to be opened and maintained.
In my carrier I am involved most of the time in developing software and such keyboard key is very annoying to me.
Waiting for your response.
Thanks
