I have two loans that were being serviced by AES. I was paying one online and the other through my bank. I went to pay online and it says that one of my loans "defaulted". I thought, this can't be right because I pay both every month. So I call them and they tell me I in fact defaulted. I come to find out that they have both of my loans under the same account number and were only applying payments to one account so the other went into default.
So when I complain they tell me that when I set up bill pay with my bank I have to specify the original lender I want the payment to go to? What!!! This company is ridiculous, I have loans held by other companies with the same account number also but they give each loan an extension (i.E. -1 or -2) to distinguish the accounts.
This company is ridiculous and just god awful.
