I returned my vacume like requested in contract and they had 10 business days to return my old one to be. It's been a month I haven't gotten all the parts to my vacume and I had to handle credit card refunds due back by disbuting the charges they made. I call every other day they always say we will get it to you tomarrow.
These people are door to door sales men. They get you by having a young kid sighn you up to win $1,000 in free groceries. Two days later you end up winning a free carpet cleaning. When they come it's a Kirby slaes man mine was Larry Holloway and his "daughter" they did thier show with the vacume. Cleaned only half of the carpet in the room when it was suppose to be the whole area.
They used my 2 month old daughter to get me to buy the vacume saying "The dirt deep down in the carpet your vacume can't pick up will make her sick." So I was suckered.
They took my Dirt Devil vacume as a trade in and my down payment of $184.00 on my credit card.
The next day I called them and had them pick up the Kirby Vacume and to bring mine back to be.
They showed up with a Bissel with no attachments. I told them this wasn't mine and I'd like my vacume. (This was a Friday 8/26) Larry the sales man said he will bring it to me that following Monday.
It never came. Luckly he had called me on his cell phone the day they picked up the Kirby. So, I called him on his cell asking where my vacume was. He had forgot and was in NJ on vacation.
A week and a half later one of the store managers brought my vacume to me. With no attachments and my hepa filter missing.
She said she forgot it in the shop. When that day I asked her if my attachments where all still with my vacume and she said yes.
Now keep in mind thier contract states " you may cancel this transaction, without penalty or obligation, within three business days from the sell date.
If you cancel, any proprty trade in, any payment made by you under contract or sale, and any negotiable instrument executed by you will be retured in 10 business days.
I got my vacume after the 10 business days in an unworking condition.
The store manager for 2 weeks told me everyday I'm sorry I didn't make it to your house to return your parts I will tonight.
It is now pushing a month. I haven't been able to vacume by house because I also gave them back the bissel they gave me mistake because it smelled of wet dog when turned on.
I really call every other day and always someone nice answers and promise someone will call me back or get my vacume to me. Today is 9/25 Saturday. This past wednesday I was told the store manager will bring it to me by today. I haven't hurd from her yet.
Also the $184.00 down payment luckly was on my credit card. So after the 13 business day I disputed the charge RTS GROUP didn't even credit my account. I had to call the loan company they financed the vacume through to make sure that RTS, Group had told them I returened the vacume. Lucky thing I did because they where not notified of that aswell.
bottom line stay away from any kirby dealer.
My husband looked on line and found pages and pages of complaints like mine from other people with Kirby through out the country. To bad we saw this when it was to late.
