I ordered carpet from Weber Carpet in Lee's Summit, Missouri, for approximately 600 sq feet of living space in my home. I made sure to mention to the sales lady, Annette, that it was in terrible condition... My dogs had ruined it. She assured me that wasn't a problem, therefore I ordered carpet and scheduled an installation date and time. On the scheduled day (approx. 10 A.M.), I left work to meet the installers at my home. I appologized for the condition of the carpet, but they said it wasn't a problem. I returned to work as they were unloading the carpet and padding into my garage. At around 3:30 P.M. I received a call from the store manager informing me that the installers had refused to remove my carpet and had left! I asked her why they hadn't said anything to me, and she said they weren't comfortable with confrontation. I then asked her what was going to be done, because most of my house was torn apart from all the moved furniture. She said she would have a different crew out the next day. So, again, I left work and met them there. They went inside and looked around, then told me they needed to call in, went to the van, and sat there. After a while, I went outside and asked them what they were waiting on. They told me "more help". Then I hear a vehicle arrive and hear the sound of high heels in the driveway, and it was the store manager! They had lied, obviously, SHE wasn't there to help. She came in, only into the downstairs room (which wasn't the worst room), turned up her nose and said they weren't willing to remove the carpet! I thought that was what crews like that were suppose to do. I'm sure they deal with terrible carpets all the time... Old homes, apartments, water damaged floors, etc. They left me hanging, with no recourse and furniture piled all over the place, not to mention time spent wasted. What was suppose to be a 2 day scenerio turned into 2 weeks, by the time I found another place I could get carpet from in a shorter amount of time. I couldn't do anything to make them finish a job they had agreed to do. Several months later, to my amazement, I got a "Happy Holidays" flyer from them expressing appreciation for my business! Never go there unless you have nearly perfect carpet to be removed!
