STAY AWAY..."legally stole our Lawn Tractor", husband dropped the deck to our mower off to weld a broken bracket, owner asked where the mower was, husband stupidly agreed to bring it in for a "tune up". We have always have had tune ups done in the past at other reputable local businesses and were in the 130-150 dollar range. So we figured 300 to 400 for both repairs... Max. Best I can figure from estimates we asked for after (too late to save us) is 320.00.
Well long story short, we got a call after he had our machine for over five weeks that our (15 year old tractor) had a repair bill of $1278 dollars, yes over a thousand dollars for a "tune up"... Kicker is we can't get it back until we pay up. He believes he has the right to do this to people. Guy has more machines/boats/tractors/generators etc hanging around, probably a symbol of all the others he's victimized. He refused to be reasonable, since he never asked for permission, he's wrong, but he has our tractor... We can buy a new one for $1999.00—guess this is how he makes his money. Consumer beware you will never see your equipment again unless you pay his ransom!!!
