Dropped off my John Deere mower for them to look at since I thought the
front axle needed to be welded. They never mentioned that they were
going to charge me a fee to look at the mower, now they call me and
tell me the repair is between $500-$700, and if they don't fix it I
have to pay them $100 for the estimate, and I can pick up the mower as
it is - in pieces. If I want the mower put back the way it was given to
them, Lou says I'd have to pay them $80.00 per hour to put it back
together (est 2 hrs). These guys are "ripoff" artists. I asked him why
he didn't call me when he realized the job was more than we both
thought, he didn't have an answer. I've dealt with a number of
lawnmower repair services over the years, but L & L seems to be
unethical, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Have already
contacted my attorney to recover my tractor.
