On June 26 my boyfriend closed on a mobile home that he bought through Little Valley. Since we moved in we have had nothing but problems. The first thing was the fernace. We had to completely rewire it to get the air to work but then the heat wouldn't work so we had to rewire it again to get the heat to work. We ended up having a heating and coolong guy come out to look at it. It took him 2 1/2 hours to get just the air to work and cost $282 and the heat still wouldn't work. The heating and cooling guy came out a second time to get the heat to work that time we were only charged $50.
The next problem we had was in one of the bathrooms. The toilet didn't flush and was full of shit and the hot water under the sink leaked. Their solution to that was to just turn the hot water off. The broker Mike said that he told us about the leak but he never said anything about it until we brought it up.
Another problem we had is the vents only blow on one side of the home (it's a double wide). The duct work underneith is so bad that it has to be completely replaced. This was all within the first week we were here.
A few weeks later we had a leak near the hot water heater under the home. We also found out at that time that the previous owner had incorrectly installed a new hot water heater and was leaking carbon monoxide into the home for over a month. Luckily it was in a closet that stayed closed all the time. We tried to call the broker about the problem a few time and he just avoided us. When we went to confront the him about the problems he had us talk to his manager witch treated us like we were stupid. He told us that the only thing he knew of that leaked out carbon monoxide was a heating unit and that we should go buy a carbon monoxide detector and turn the gas back on to see if it would go off and to get someone certified to look at it. We had also went to the manager of the mobile home park and he told us he was going to call Little Valley and the previous owner about the problem because the prevoius owner was told to replace the hot water heater and didn't replace it correctly and Little Valley approved thee new hot water heater. We had someone that is certified in nateral gas look at it. We had him call up there, the manager of the park call up thereand we called up there a couple times and they just keep avoiding all phone calls.
