In 1996, my Mothers Historic (actually is listed) home needed a heating system. She goes thru a Community Development department in Paterson, New Jersey. She gets accepted. Is mailed a list of contractors to choose from. A couple of them come to home to look over work to be done. The total amount given in the form of a lien against her property is $15,000. The contractor chosen tells the homeowner what they can do for them under the amount of the lien. My Mother needed heat as a main upgrade and they threw in a new roof.
Grau Construction, Inc.-Contractors start putting in the new heating system which consisted of a Utica boiler that is housed where a fire placed once sat. The problem is that they did such a shoddy job - they removed the fireplace (which supported the above floors, floor joists, surrounding areas).
