Dishonorable company ripping off hard working americans - nordic track treadmill extended warranty

Nordic track should not continue offering extended warranty plans through universal technical services (uts). Please pass this on to all of your friends so they don't waste hard earned money.

Synopsis: we purchased nt treadmill 5/11/06 and maintained the extended warranty plan through uts since then. The machine worked great until this year when the track belt began to stick and the pin (a mechanical part) that holds the floor in the upright storage position failed causing the left foot platform to break. The platform is what you use to get off of the moving belt in the event you need to step off the belt before it quits moving. I contacted uts via their email system january 25th and received an email a couple weeks later that items were being shipped to us. I figured that we were supposed to install them ourselves, which iwas surprised about because we had an in home service warranty and there was no information that advised us what to do. Shortly thereafter i received a call from a guy who said he was coming out to fix the machine. So far so good...

A few weeks later, after receiving the parts (a new belt and a foot platform) the guy came out and replaced the belt, but told me the company had sent wrong platform. They sent the right side foot platform instead of the left and told me it looked as though the right part had been back-ordered.

3/21 i called uts and spoke to travis. He told me the part back-ordered had been discontinued and that he would have to see what to do. He said he would talk to his supervisor and call me back that day. No call.

On 4/4 called uts and i spoke to morgan. She told me that she could not help me but that she would ensure that a supervisor get the message and that the supervisor was required to call me back that day before 8pm. No call.

4/5 kyle (who refused to provide his last name) from uts called. He identified himself as an operations manager. He told me the part was discontinued and that it was "cosmetic" yes, you heard me. The platform that makes it safe to get off of the moving belt is a cosmetic item. No safety issues there!!! So anyway... He said it's cosmetic and is not covered. Never mind the fact that they already sent me one of those "non-covered" cosmetic items. He actually told me that i could just get off on the other side. Can't you just picture hoping on one foot as your trying to get off of the damn moving machine! If i wasnt so tired of constantly dealing with disreputable crooks calling themselves business people i would laugh. I am not laughing though. I have spent a large amount of money insuring my treadmill and i might as well have burned it... Once again ripped off by companies screwing americans!

Please help me pass this on to every facebooking person you know. It's not right and i'm going national!!!
