Our GE washer we purchased 5 yrs. Ago just started to make bad noises and wouldn't want to agitate.
W called the warranty company named in this complaint. They sent out repairmen from the store we purchased it from.
It turns out the cycle knob, the transmission, and I believe a belt were all going out and needed replaced. The warranty company told the store we bought it from they would replace the washer, because it was going to cost too much to fix.
But when the warranty company contacted me, they only offered a buyout offer of $230.52 and did not mention replacing the washer.
They never said I had any other options other than to accept their offer.
This amount only gave money for the remaining value of the washer, but didn't allow anything for reimbursement for the value of the warranty that was still effective until 01/30.
This company doesn't stand behind their contracts they enter into.
