I purchased a Maytag washer Feb. 08 with a 5 year extended warranty. 2 years and 7 months Washer stops working. Call Maytag and they have no record of purchase and warranty.
The store "The Maytag Store" has filed bankruptcy where I puchased the washer from. The Maytag Corp. Says I did not purchas the warranty form them. I fax my invoice to them 4 times. Last time I stayed on the phone with them to make sure they receive the fax. They seem very surprised I did in fact purchase the warranty.
After 3 weeks from the corporate office of Wanda, "sorry it is not our problem" "you did not purchase the warranty from us" "there is nothing we can do" to "maybe I can have you purchase a warranty from our corporation". Then the last straw was "maybe you can call the Better Business Bureau to see if someone bought out the store "they filed bankruptcy" to, "maybe someone bought out there warranties." YEAH RIGHT Needless. I think all fo this is a SCAM with Maytag and extended warranties
