This is a rental agency. I saw a craigslist ad for a house for rent. I called and they told me it was occupied and on dec 15th it will be vacant and then they will do repairs and cleaning and then i could go see it. They told me a 200.00 fully refundable deposit will hold the house. And they wont charge for the credit check unless you get the house. We signed a contract on dec 1st 2011. It says its an application so i didnt read the fine print regaurdless he said if we didnt like the house when we saw it it was fully refundable. Employees name was james. On dec 3rd my wife realized she didnt have her licence and thought maybe shedidnt get it back when they made a copy. We called to ask for james he imediatly said oh yea we have it. So why didnt they call us after we left they had both our numbers they have every info on us now. So on dec 5th someone name omar calls and says hey you can see the house today. I say oh? He said drive over there and call me i will give you the code to the lock box? So i call james and say whats going on i found this house in a different ad by your company but the price is 1480.00 a month it was 1350.00 for me. I say your holding it for me but if someone calls the other ad i suppose you will give it to them. He says not to worry its on hold for you. But wont tell me if they ever ran the credit check. So omar calls me back and says there is someone there to show it. We hurry over there and there are numerous other people looking at the house. A lady asks me what agency im there for. So i find that they are not even contracted to rent it to anyone. So i tell them nevermind i want my deposit back. They say we will send you a form and i send it to corporate. But the refund will only be 90.00. Its not the amount that matters. Its what they are doing to people. I have looked into this co. And found many complaints now that its too late. Check this link. These houses they list have pictures of houses or interiors that are not the actual house, they list more than one ad for the same house for different prices and they do not have any contracts or agreements with the homeowners. It goes on and on. What can i do? They are doing this to many people each day. While i was there in the office at least 5 or 6 couples came in during the 30 minutes i was there. To anybody else that is looking to rent. Google the company name first. If i had i would have found out before giving them my money.
