I ordered an expensive Samsung dryer and pedestal yesterday with the promise it would be delivered and installed today. The pedestal was delivered in the afternoon but without the dryer. The deliverers said it was coming later with the installers. I called to double check and found out it was not scheduled for delivery for another two days due to a lack of items in the warehouse.
The customer service reps were polite and offered to waive the delivery fee. However I had to take off a day of work—and now another. I'm just furious—not to mention my wife who now must add to the laundry backup. For me the most troubling thing was that I was not given the courtesy of a phone call.
I canceled the order and ordered from another company even though it is costing me additional money. I'm just so upset so I don't mind paying extra!
I've ordered from Sears before recently—a new oil burner, a refrigerator and dishwasher. Never a problem.
