I grew up around sears appliances and service contracts. When I bought a house, my wife went to sears.com and ordered a stove, a dryer and a dishwasher. She ordered the professional installation along with the items.
The items quickly arrived minus the dryer. I was told that the installers would contact me to arrange for an installation date and the dryer would be delivered shortly after.
After 4 days I had not heard from the installers or received the dryer I called customer service. Apparently, the dryer was dropped from the order because it did not pass their 'fraud' department check (huh???) and they claimed that I never ordered the install and they told me to find my own installers.
After arguing back and forth, I asked them to either have the items installed (at my agreed cost) or come take them back and issue me a credit. I was told that there would be a 15% restocking fee plus $ 50.00 pickup charge. After threating them with contacting the BBB, they agreed to send an installer and bill my credit card for the install. That was 10 days ago, I have not heard from and installer and the items are still in my living room.
Sucks! Last time I get anything from Sears!
