Dunmore, PA. I would not recommed Monro Muffler to my worst enemy. They replaced the fuel injector (cylinder 6) in my son's 2004 Mazda 6. Several hours later while the car was parked at a friends house the front of the car literally exploded in a ball of flames. Needless to say the car was a total loss. The cause of the fire, determined by an independant forensic investigation, was due to a wire harness pinch on cylinder 6. Monro admitted fault and reimbursed our $500.00 deductible. They said the contents of the vehicle and my disputed credit card charge would be covered by their Travelers insurance. They are now refusing to pay for the contents and have disputed my dispute of the credit card charge claiming they were not at fault. The charge has now been put back on my credit card for the second time.
I have nightmares thinking what could have happened to my 22 year old son if he had been driving his car when the injector exploded. Not only has he lost the car he worked so hard to pay for but also lost all of his CD's, Ipod, cell phone and had to pay to rent a car until the investigation was complete and the claim was paid.
Currently Monro chooses not to return phone calls or answer emails.
