L Electronics serviced dryer in fall 2010. No date was listed on their repair form and they misrepresented why they came out in the remarks section, this visit was $150.00. Came out again 7/5 for same problem, dryer was not heating and I paid $150.00. Tech told me flexible duct was dirty, not much dirt from what I saw. Replaced flexible duct anyway before I ran dryer after repair. Under 2 weeks, dryer stops heating, call L Electronics, was given the 5th degree about did I replace the flexible duct—yes, and I would have to pay again for them to come out.
I reminded them about their 30 day work warranty. Tech came back, said that the actual duct must be dirty and to get it cleaned. Asked for $45.00 for service call and I told them I would not pay it. Paid $110.00 to have actual duct cleaned, turned dryer on, worked for 10 minutes and stopped heating again. Called again and was told that I needed to pay from the last visit, that my duct was dirty—told them I had it professionally cleaned, said they would come if I paid and ultimately told me that their tests showed that nothing was wrong with my dryer. I called because it was not working and they are telling me they won't come back because nothing is wrong with it.
Their service form states that air duct clogged&it was not, and recommends to get cleaned 1-2 x's per year. Since they said that they did not show anything wrong with my dryer, I asked that they send me the test results, and since they were refusing to come back and fix my broken dryer, I asked them to put this in writing, and they refused. I am left with a dryer that does not work, and certified LG Service Center that refuses to come back and fix it, honoring their 30 day work guarantee. I am out an extra $110.00 on their recommendation, plus I now have to call someone else to come fix my broken dryer.
