I recently purchased a 6 drawer chest and night stand at Bob's Furniture Store on Lincoln St.in Worcester, Massachusetts. I was told that it was in stock and that I could pick it up 10 days later. Wrong, it hadn't been brought to that store yet and then I was told it wasn't in stock. Several phone calls later I was told I could pick them up the next Friday.
Wrong, I was told I had to call back later in the day, more phone calls again. I was able to pick them up late afternoon on Friday. The employees put the boxes in my van. I asked if I should check the merchandise. They said the merchandise should be fine because it was new, not damaged. They were very persistent in me not checking the merchandise. I had their guarantee that it would be fine, but it wasn't.
Both pieces are damaged. I called customer service and was told I could exchange the night stand the next Saturday and talked me into having the chest repaired. I stated I believed I was purchasing new furniture not defective furniture. Saturday, the night stand wasn't there. I told them I was done. I wanted my money back. I had given them cash in good faith, that I was getting quality furniture. I didn't.
Bob says he cares, he doesn't. He says, "Your 100% satisfaction is my goal", it isn't. If it was I would have my money back.
