Since I moved to the Eagle's Nest Apartments in Boulder, CO managed by Boulder Legacy Apartments located at 4990 Osage Dr. I have had nothing short of a nightmare experience. First, the entire maintenance team is the most incompetent group of surly, rude pieces of ex-con white trash you could possibly find. The Boiler for the entire apartment complex is in my backyard and when I moved in the management told me that someone would probably come by about once a month to check on the boiler, if that. Turns out, that was a lie. The maintenance people would come into my back yard, unannounced, about 10-15 times a month. I called the incompetent fake-tanned manager Paula Granato to tell her that I did not want maintenace men charging in my backyard at 11pm or 7am or whenever they felt like it because I did not want to have to live my life with my blinds closed wondering when the maintenance men were going to pop into my back yard. After several phone calls and threatening to sue her (I am a litigation paralegal who sues people all day for work), it took TWO months for that to get trough the thick skulls of Rick and Bill the semi-retarded maintenance men. To make matters worse, the reason why Rick and Bill had to come into my yard so many times is because their brand new boiler wasn't working right. Every time there was a slight breeze the pilot light blew out. Well, dumbasses, A) you should not have bought a boiler with a pilot light that blows out so easily and B) learn how to fix the problem in less than 50 visits to my backyard.
Furthermore, the structural integrity of the Eagle's Nest is horrid. I have had several floods of water come through the ceiling flooding my closet, bedroom and bathroom. The event that prompted me writing this post is that a leak from the cieling flodded my bathroom and my closet soaking all my clothes and leaving an inch of water on the floor of my bathroom at midnight. I called the emergency mainenance phone which no one answered and left a message. 10 minutes later I called the emergency maintenance phone again where the retard Bill answered the phone and told me he was sending retard Rick to my door. Retard Rick or "RR" for short came to my door and said "damn, looks like a flood, I'l have to go up there and do a better job of caulking. Then he was about to walk out the door when I was like "hold up, you are going to clean this up right" that's when RR looked at me astonished and reluctantly went and grabbed a mop. As he was doing a half-assed job mopping I asked if I would be compensated for having my bathmat ruined and having to pay $10 in the coin operated laundry at 1am to wash my clothes which had been soaked by the flood due to RR's negligence in failing to properly caulk after I had previously warned him of this flood problem. RR then made a smart ass which made me want to slam his head into the wall.
Moral of the story: Don't rent from Boulder Legacy Apartments. They are scumbags. They are the definition of slumlord.
