I moved into the Fiest Park Apartments July and immediately the air condiontioning was the worst, it just blew air and hot air at that. It took at least 2 1/2 weeks for them to fix it and that was with me having to constantly remind them that air conditioning was not working.
The next issue came about recently early October when the upstairs apartment bathroom was leaking water, the source was unknown, scary business. Anyways my units bathroom floor was flooded and the ceiling was drenched. Big chunks of the ceiling began to cave in and my bathroom floor was a mess with drywall from the ceiling. After I first reported it to the office it took them nearly a week to respond and all they did was turn the water to the upstairs apartment off.
When the tenants upstairs needed to use the bathroom they turned the water on and the leak started again. So when I went to report the leak again, 1. I could not get through to the maintenance department via the telephone and the voice mail would not let me leave a message because it was so full; 2. I went to the office @ 5:30 pm on 10/12/04 a tuesday, they say they are open until 6pm on weekdays, to report the leak and no one was in the office and the office door was locked. A message was left for them on their regular office message machine letting them know the problem had returned.
There again it took another week before they came out to fix the leak, this time they did fix the leak but left the mess on my bathroom floor for me to clean up. Then a week later they finally came back to fix the ceiling. I have pictures to back this up...
Also, the parking lot lacks adequate lighting and is very dark and unsafe. The walk ways on the second floor to the units are also a hazard and need some serious reinforcing.
