Sears,
I writing this email as I am very VERY disappointed with Sears services.
Why?
My front loader washer of 2 years needs to have the water pressure switch replaced which is not a big deal (So I thought) I called on 4/16 for an appointment and they told me the earliest they could come is Friday the 22nd. I mention to the person scheduling to make sure they have the switch for my washer as I see many and I do mean many other people having this issue when I search the web. They even walk you through diagnosing the problem.
When the tech arrived he ran through the diagnostic and said “yep its the water pressure switch” but he did not have any on his truck and seeing it was 5PM on a Friday he would not be able to order it till Monday. Monday Steve (the A&E tech) called and said he ordered the part and put a rush on it and I should receive it by the 26th. So I rescheduled for the 27th seeing the part would be here on the 26th.
Well you guessed it, the part never showed on on the 26th or the 27th so I cancelled the appointment and rescheduled for NOW the 6th of May.
Seeing that we had not done our wash for 2 weeks as we waited for Sears we had to spend $57 at the laundry mat.
So sears let me ask you, why do I need a service contract that I have to pay for when Sears CANNOT deliver in a reasonable time. I had to spend $57 to do my wash, spend my time packing and unpacking 2 weeks of clothes, time at the laundry mat, and gas to get there. So Sears how am I saving money with a service contract that Sears cannot fulfill in a reasonable time frame.
So this is what I'm going to do SEARS...
1. I'll never ever ever step foot into a Sears again or buy anything from sears as long as I live. I've been a Loyd customer for over 30 years it ends today. I've spent thousands of dollars at Sears and this is the kind of respect and customer service I get.
2. I will not renew my service contract when they expire.
3. I will be reporting this to many consumer sites and the BBB.
